2012 National Wild Turkey Federation
Taxidermy Competition
Lengacher's Taxidermy in Washington, IN, owned by Josh and Dean Lengacher, again participated in the national turkey competition at the Grand National Wild Turkey Federation Convention in Nashville, Tennessee. The convention was held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center on the 9th-12th of February. There were over 75 competitors in this year's NWTF taxidermy competitions. Lengacher's entered 7 turkeys and 2 deer into the competition and came away with; Two 2nd Place, Masters Division, Turkey Awards; Two 2nd Place, Professional Division, Turkey Awards; Two 1st Place, Masters Division, Turkey Awards; One 1st Place, Professional Division, Turkey Award; "Best of Category" Masters Division (Turkey); "Best of Category" Professional Division (Turkey); "Best of Show" Professional Division (Turkey); Two 1st Place Whitetail Deer;
and "Best of Category" Closed Mouth Whitetail Deer, Professional Division.

New Deer Pictures!
The new deer pictures are in! Check out our gallery for the latest deer mount since Dean and Josh received their training over the summer. Just another way Lengacher's Taxidermy is expanding and continuing to mature their products.
Lengacher's Taxidermy Continues to Grow
Over the 2011 summer Dean and Josh Lengacher received training in the area of deer heads. They took a week long course with a two time, World, "Best of Show" winner in the masters division and are on their way to fine tuning their skills and becoming even better taxidermist. Pictures of the new deer will be online soon!
2011 World Taxidermy Championship

From May 4th through the 7th Lengacher's Taxidermy attended the 2011 World Taxidermy Championship in St. Louis, Missouri. They took three birds and entered them into the professional division. Two of the birds came home with 2nd place winnings while the last came home with a 1st place winning! The first place bird also received "Best of Category" in the bird division, beating out Waterfowl and Upland Game birds from all over the world!

2011 Grand National Wild Turkey Federation Taxidermy Competition

Lengacher's Taxidermy in Washington, IN, owned by Josh and Dean Lengacher, recently participated in the national turkey competition at the Grand National Wild Turkey Federation Convention in Nashville, Tennessee. The convention was held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center on the 17th-20th of February. There were over 75 competitors in this year's NWTF taxidermy competition. Lengacher's entered 4 turkeys into the competition and came away with two 1st place ribbons and two 2nd place ribbons. One of the birds that received a 1st place also won a "Best of Category" award in the Open Wing Division.

2011 Illinois State Taxidermy Competition
Lengacher’s also recently won awards at the Illinois State Taxidermy Competition in Decatur, Illinois. They entered 3 turkeys and received 1st place ratings on each bird. There were only six blue ribbons awarded for all participating turkeys, and Lengacher’s took home 3 out of the 6. One of their 1st place birds was also named Best of Show in the Turkey Division of the competition.
